About Me
I’m just a guy who is very intrigued by technology.
My main professional interests are:
- Web Design
- Computer Science (especially in relation to graphics and physics)
- Digital Art (3D and 2D) and Traditional Art
- Social Media
On the side, mainly for fun, and entertainment, I am also very interested in:
- Game Design
- Broadcasting, Podcasting and Video Editing.
- Games, Music, Movies (all sorts of multimedia)
- Sports (mainly hockey, and extreme sports)
My interest in technology started from an early age. I was always on the computer, surfing the web, and just plain old tinkering. As I got continually more curious, I wanted to make computers do what I want them to do. Then, while in about grade 4, I got asked to join a club that created interactive multimedia projects, that would be shared at a board wide "competition" (that's in quotes, because no one actually won). This got me started, as our projects got more complex, to the point where I started exploring the built-in programming language (more accurately scripting language I guess). Eventually this led me to trying to build some simple 2D games, as I did for the last project as a member of that club. This also allowed me to use my artistic skills that I had always embraced (to the point where I wanted to be a traditional artist for a long time)
All of this was a great base for many of my interests today. The simple scripting led me to game design, and computer science; the interactivity and artistic elements led me to an interest in web design. As a requirement of both game design and web design, I became greatly interested in digital art, and graphic design.
